What makes honey to a Ashwathama-

Honey is first and foremost,a suger. Sugers are hygroscopic a term that means they contain very little water in their surface and natural state. But can readily effected in moisture if left unsealed.
It's is used as both food and medicine.
Mainly honey has a pH that falls between 3 and 4.5 approximately, and that acid will kill anything that wants to grow there.

But bees have a enzyme in their stomach called glucose oxidase.when bees regurgitate the nector from their mouth into comb to make honey it mix wid nector breaking down into two byproducts gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide is the next thing that goes in the honey as a shield.
